The goal of the workshop is to review prospects for coproduction systems in rural areas with declining economic activity. Multidisciplinary expert panels will discuss current challenges for resource production, synergistic and competing priorities for rural land management, and emerging technologies. There will also be time scheduled during the workshop for discussion and working groups to develop new strategies for analyzing and advancing environmentally sustainable coproduction systems. Systems of particular interest are those that generate both bioenergy and bioproducts. 
 

The workshop will be held in the Living Learning Center on campus at Ohio University.
